Spartan Notes:
- Last time out, UNCG was levelled by the Duke Blue Devils, 108-62. Aaron Bracket lead UNCG with 14 points.
- UNCG is sitting at 0-2 in the Southern Conference at the moment. Elon is the only other SoCon North division team without a win this season.
- Tonight's game starts a string of 3 straight conference home games for UNCG. UNCG will host Chattanooga on Saturday and Elon on Monday.
- Aloysuis Henry leads UNCG in scoring (11.3) and rebounding (5.8). Kyle Randall is averaging 10.9 points and a team best 3.8 assists.
- For the year, UNCG is shooting 40.6% from the field, 36.2% from behind the arc and 67.4% from the free throw line.

Bulldog Notes:
- In their last game, Samford overcame a 10 point second half deficit to defeat Eastern Washington 55-51. Greg Wooten led the Bulldogs with 13 points.
- Samford has a win against the one BCS confernce team they have played so far this year. The Bulldogs defeated Auburn, 79-68, on November 19th.
- The Bulldogs have split a pair of early SoCon home games this year. They defeated Western Carolina (63-58) and fell to App State (78-69).
- Jeffery Merritt leads Samford in scoring (11.0) and rebounding (7.5). Andy King leads the team in assists (2.6).
- So far this season, Samford is shooting 43.9% from the field, 39.0% from behind the arc and 65.5% from the free throw line.
