UNCG Guard on Sports Network's List

Rising junior guard Trevis Simpson was named honorable mention on the Sports Network's list of the top shooting guards in the country. The list also included names such as CJ McCollum (Lehigh), Jamaal Franklin (San Diego St), Michael Snaer (Florida St) and Seth Curry (Duke).

This post gives me a reason top link to this awesome Simpson highlight reel on YouTube.

Wow!! Just Speechless after watching that. Hopefully that energy will translate over to the entire squad.

Very good player --To bad I couldn't share video with my dad due to language and I don't consider myself a prune

Yea, I mute most of those vids b/c I really don't care for the music.

Trevis has an opportunity to do some big things over the next 2 years- Hopefully he can stay healthy--Image is important- I believe he has the opportunity to be a beloved individual in the community The music on the video goes against the image Trevis should be projecting- I bet Wes would not be totally happy with the repeated use of the F word

Since it's just a cool vid done by the kid himself (I think), I'm fine with it. If it were an AD sanctioned vid, that'd be different.

BTW, I really wish they change the school intro part for games at the GC. Personally I think it's too long and I don't get hyped by it.

Sorry that he didn't choose Beethoven but it's totally not about the music anyway. It's about this kid (Trevis Simpson) and what he could potentially bring to the SpartaNation community!! Leadership; competitiveness; excitement; and ticket sales!! Sounds like a breath of fresh air for the Greensboro Coliseum and for UNCG Athletics. Let's rally behind our team while we have a good product and while we have a good thing going. We need to embrace and we need to build on this foundation instead of trying to tear it down (sheesh). If a player has an issue that needs to be addressed then the Head Coach is there.

Trevis Simpson is really nice guy off the court. He's a good kid. I promise you that he does not aspire to be a thug. Trevis is a Great Ambassador for the university!! Go Spartans!!

Like I said above, since it's just a fan video I don't really care. All I said was I didn't care for the music and that's fine. I still posted it b/c it's a BA video. Dang sure not trying to tear him down. I hope he goes on to do great things and I sure will eb cheering loud for him.

10-4 ... just making it known that while I'm not a fan the video music, I don't really care one way or the other. I just want to see that kid go far, and think he really ahs the chance to do so.

Love seeing all of the discussion on here too. You guys keep it up.
