CAA Considering App State?

From SI.com ...

Commissioner Tom Yeager, who declined to comment for this story, is targeting the SoCon's Davidson, College of Charleston and Appalachian State as replacements for his lost teams, according to a source.
I'm not particularly sure why the CAA is targeting App State, but I'm pretty sure that's not where the Mountaineers are looking to jump.

Is the SoCon just going sit and wait to get picked? Why not go out and start picking up membership to enhance the league's profile for Davidson; C of C; and App State. Invites should be going out to Murray State (bb); Belmont (bb); UNCW (bb); James Madison (fb); William & Mary (fb); Coastal Carolina (fb); and Tennessee State or ETSU (bb) prior to June 30, 2012. Please forward this post to the league office Powers That Be. A light bulb may come on!

Just a few of these additions would make the SoCon the premier FCS conference in both basketball and football

I keep hearing and reading rumors that Davidson; Charleston; and Elon are considering invites to the CAA. Elon and UNCG are permenant travel partners last time I checked so I guess that makes Greensboro a CAA expansion candidate also. We do have a forward thinking chancellor and a new progressive minded athletic director so the G nation wouldn't know anything until a deal is inked in black. Do I have any diggers out there?
