Thoughts
The Rams were as good as advertised. They came in ranked #15 in DII and had already played a solid exhibition contest at Duke. They spent the entire evening attacking UNCG in the soft spot ... the interior. The Spartans were even playing a little short handed, with David Williams out with a wrist injury.

UNCG was staring at a 4 point deficit with about 14 minutes to go and really answered the bell. Trevis Simpson scored 8 straight points during a 19-0 run that basically ended all thoughts of a Rams upset and ignited the large home crowd.

It was a quick turn around from the disappointment of Friday night's opener. But the Spartans came through with the W against the lower level squad from down the road. Now UNCG gets to go back on the road to Greenville to play ECU on Friday night. This team still has plenty of work to do to shore up it's inside play. However, this was a step in the right direction.

Go Spartans !!!
